Thor Larholm
Thor Larholm is a well-know computer security expert and a Senior Security Researcher for PivX Solutions,
LLC. Thor uncovered highly-publicized vulnerabilities in Internet Explorer and
he's been pioneering security strategies such as proactive threat
mitigation. Thor's research lead to the development of PivX's QwikFix
software. QwikFix closes some Internet Explorer security holes.

Microsoft tracks possible Windows code leak
Allchin's fears are not misplaced, said Thor Larholm, senior security researcher with security consultancy PiVX Solutions.
"Just look at the amount of vulnerabilities that are discovered without the source code," he said. "The majority of Windows servers are still running Windows 2000. Furthermore, Windows 2000 has a lot of shared code that is still being used by Windows XP and Windows Server 2003."
SDSIC Web Services Conference
Thor spoke during the SDSIC Web Services Conference at the San
Diego Supercomputer Center. He participated in a panel
presentation about Web services security with Jeff
Carmichael (Tarari), Mark Colan (IBM), Rajiv
Gupta (Confluent Software), and Gene Thurston (AmberPoint).
We recorded an interview and Thor's
presentation during the security panel discussion. Thor's topic was
security problems associated with federated identities.

The 96K MP4 video conforms to the basic MP4 profile and will
play with QuickTime Player 6.5+, Dicas mpegable Player, MPEG4 Direct and Real
Player. The MP4 encoded for a broadband audience (288K) is encoded using an
H.264 codec, which is available with QuickTime Player 7.
